Edward Millaway

CLEVELAND Edward Millaway, 81, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in at his home.He was the son of the late Sally Alice McDowell Millaway and Ike Millaway. He was also preceded in death by his son, Heath Millaway; sisters, Bea Murphy and her husband, Hubert, Inamae Black and her husband, Clifford; brothers, Jay Millaway, Arthur Millaway and his wife, Helen, Earl Millaway and his wife, Gladys, and Millard Millaway and his wife, Helen.He loved traveling and the cruises to Hawaii and visiting Pearl Harbor, Alaska and Washington D.C., Florida in the winter and walking on the beach. He was a very loving husband and fun to be with. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force discharged with four bronze star medals and conduct medal. He retired from Combustion. Mr. Millaway was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Nita Burns Millaway; daughter, Patricia Millaway; son, Allen Millaway; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, James Millaway and his wife, Alma, of Hixson; sister, Jessie Burdette and her husband, Eligah, of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews also survive.A Remembrance of Life Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev.
