CLEVELAND Evelyn Goins Wynkoop, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, surrounded by her family.She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School, Class of 1949. She was employed with Merchants Bank for 18 years, then a loving, full-time wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of North Cleveland Church of God for more than 50 years where she was active in the Unity Sunday School Class. She had many fond memories of her time teaching the two-year old Sunday school class.She was preceded in death by her parents, Major L. Goins and Bernice Goins; and brother, Robert H. Goins.She is survived by her husband, John H. Wynkoop; two children, Byron Wynkoop and wife, Dovie and Bethany Wynkoop Underwood and husband, Gregg; grandchildren, Robert Wynkoop and wife, Brittany, Murphy Wynkoop, Kelsey Wynkoop, Tiffany Crisp, Miosha Hughes and Dequan Hughes; ; great-grandchildren, Ethan Wynkoop and Roselynn McCormick and special invaluable cousin and neighbor, Helen Marie Calfee; great-grandchildren, Ethan Wynkoop and Roselynn McCormick; McCormick; and special invaluable cousin and neighbor Helen Marie Calfee.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 11, 2013, in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Maloney and Cecil Guiles officiating.Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Robert Wynkoop, Murphy Wynkoop, Gregg Underwood, Matthew Wilson, Frank Calfee, Fred Calfee and Carl Calfee serving as pallbearers.The family will receive friends from 11-2 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 1144 Oakwood Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37416.We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Wynkoop family guest book at www.grissomfh.net.Arrangements are being handled by Grissom Funeral Home, Mark S.
