Winfred Hughey

Winfred Hughey, 75 of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013.He was a graduate of Howard High School and McKenzie College. He was employed with Wheland Foundry and retired after 34 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.Survivors include his wife, Betty Hughey; children, Nancy Benton, Ellen Hughey and Merlin Hughey, Rachel Moore and Rudolph Hughey, Chattanooga; mother, Ocie Mae Hughey and a host of other relatives and friends.Services will he held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at Advantage Chapel with Elder Walter L. Hambrick officiating.The body will lie-in-state from noon-7 p.m. today, Sept. 12, 2013, at Advantage Chapel.Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m.Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
