Lanny E. Sanders, 64, of the Suck Creek Mountain Community passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Sanders retired from Buzzi Unicem USA (Signal Mtn. Cement). He was preceded in death by his father Leo (Buck) Sanders; nephew, Brian Shirley; step-dad, Ralph Shirley, Sr.; brother-in-law, Ralph Shirley, Jr.Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, MonaLisa Pickett Sanders; children, Lamar (Jennifer) Sanders, Jarrett (Suzette) Sanders, Adam Sanders, Matthew Hudson, Joshua Hudson; mother, Claudean Tate Shirley; sisters, Starlina Pyburn, Rene Shirley, Teresa (Jeff) Lewis; brother, Mike (Susie) Sanders; four grandchildren, Emily (Daniel) Durden, Devin Sanders, Logan Sanders, and Lydia Hudson; great grandchild, Owen Durden.Family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST, today, September 23, 2013.Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. CST, Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
