Ruth Ann Holloway Griffith, 82, passed over to her heavenly reward following an extended illness early Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, 2013, surrounded lovingly by her two daughters.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lela and Ted Holloway, of Red Bank; and a twin son, Richard Rhett Griffith.She is survived by her daughters, Janis (George) Simmons and Toni Griffith; son, Charles Griffith; granddaughters, Michelle Talbert and Missy Fine; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Judy (Bob) Blasdell; nieces, Kelley Starnes (Jimmy) Hutchins and Kim Starnes (Mike) Mitchell.The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. today, Sept. 25, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made in Ruth Ann Griffith name to Mary Ellen Locher Breast Cancer at Memorial Hospital, 605 Glenwood Drive, Plaza Bldg Suite 100, Chattanooga, TN 37404.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
