John Cunnyngham

CLEVELAND John Howard Cunnyngham, 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013.He was born on March 2, 1951 to the late Wiley and Freida Cunnyngham. He was a resident of Cleveland for the past 27 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a two year mission in Texas.He was preceded in death by his mother and father. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 40 years, Paula Cunnyngham; two children, Chris (Cindy) Cunnyngham and Amanda Bundy; two brothers, Gregg (Carol) Cunnyngham and Scott (Michelle) Cunnyngham; six grandchildren, Garrett Cunnyngham, McKenzie Brown, Kendall Cunnyngham, Kylie Cunnyngham, Keria Bundy, and Morgan Bundy. In addition to these he leaves behind several other extended family members and friends.A funeral service will be held at the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 4200 Pryor Road NE, Cleveland, TN 37312, at 4 p.m. today.Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, Tenn., immediately following the service.The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas PL, Memphis, TN 38105, or the mission fund at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4200 Pryor Road NE, Cleveland, TN 37312.You are invited to share a personal memory of John or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com.Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Cunnyngham family with these arrangements.
