Rev. Ted Baker

Rev. Ted F. Baker passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014. He served in the Ministry for the United Methodist Church for 43 years touching hearts and lives too many to count. Rev. Baker also served at Red Bank United Methodist Church 1993-1998. Upon his official retirement in 2000 he has made his home in Sweetwater, Tenn., and continued to serve and share the love of God daily. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wallace Baker; his three children and their spouses, son, Butch Baker and wife, Nancy, son, Jay Baker and wife, Tara, and daughter, Sissy Polacek and husband, Adam. He also leaves behind eight much loved grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at the First United Methodist Church of Sweetwater. The family will receive friends during visitation immediately following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
