Alvin Yount

Alvin Gayle Yount, 80, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, April 2, 2014. He was born March 31, 1934 in Shelby County, Ky., a son of Curtis and Anna Marie Yount. Mr. Yount was retired from the Hamilton County Assessors office mapping department. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ in Frankfort, and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan. Mr. Yount love watching westerns, especially John Wayne. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Yount. Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Marie Yount and Elisa Gayle Wilson; grandchildren, Dustin, Melissa and Manny "R.J."; great-grandchildren, Marie, Dylan, Preston Lake and Gunnar Clyde,; brother, Albert Yount; sisters, Evelyn Mae Yount and Anna Marie Singleton. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Services will be held in Kentucky. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
