Dewey Gravett

Dewey Cleon Gravett, 71, died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Spring City Health and Rehab. Dewey was a lifelong resident of Rhea County, a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy Eugene and Arsula Sneed Gravett; one brother, Bobby Gene Gravett. Survivors: his wife, Joetta Gravett, of Dayton; three sons, Coy Gravett, Dewey Dana (Tammy) Gravett, of Dayton, Ernie (Candie) Gravett, of Niota, Tenn.; a daughter, Joy (Rick) Reed, of Dayton; two sisters, Sue (Harold) Hickman, of Dayton, Kathryn Coulter, of Sale Creek, Tenn.; one brother, Norman (Naomi) Gravett, of Dayton; six grandchildren, Justin (Staci) Reed, Chris Reed, Gina Reed, Brandon Gravett, Constance Reed, Caden Gravett; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Braxton Reed; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilburn Hardyman and the Rev. George Ashburn officiating. Burial in Spence Cemetery.
