Glenice Hooper

Glenice Seale Hooper, 91, widow of James L. Hooper, of Soddy-Daisy, formerly of Tellico Plains, passed away 7:44 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at her home. Member of First United Methodist Church of Tellico Plains. Member of Tellico Plains Order of Eastern Star #324. Retired after 43 years of teaching in Monroe and Hamilton Counties. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, James L. II and Janet Hooper; grandchildren and spouses, James Chadwick and Brook Hooper, Carrie Hooper Mobley, all of Tellico Plains, James B. and Vicki Alsip, Soddy-Daisy, Melissa Seale Alsip Borstelmann and Jennifer Borstelmann, Norfork, Va.; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Carly and McKinley Hooper, Lanee, Lydia and Lucy Mobley, Ashley Alsip, Ella Catherine Borstelmann; brother, Gilbert Seale, Speedwell; several nieces andnephews. Preceded in death by daughter, Mary Catherine Alsip. Funeral 4 p.m. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Chapel with Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Interment Center Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
