Johnnie V. Templeton DeFriese, of Chattanooga, passed away at her home Thursday, April 17, 2014, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Donald G. DeFriese; sons, Jimmy Harris, of Chattanooga, Charles Harris, of Prescott, Ariz.; daughters, Judy Manning, of Cave Springs, Ga., Kaye Vandergriff, of Chattanooga; nieces, Ruth Appleget, of Chattanooga, and Peggie Harris, of Ringgold; several other nieces and nephews and several grand-nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Art Jones officiating. Private burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
