Mary Seagroves

Mary Eunice Magouirk Seagroves, 85, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014. She owned and operated the R and M Restaurant in Palmer. She was born in Palmer on Aug. 17, 1928 to Jim and Rose Ellen Tate Shrum who preceded her in death along with husband, James Seagroves; Rex Magouirk father of her children; her sisters, Jessie Land, Margie Long, Nancy Skeen and Rose Creighton; brothers, James Shrum Jr. and John Shrum; granddaughter, Sara Brook Hobbs. She is survived by her daughters, Ruth (Arnold) Cleek, Palmer, Joan Hobbs, Alaska, Margaret Hobbs, Florida, Janet (Greg McGee) Hobbs, McMinnville, Debbie Partin, Palmer, Rhonda (Troy) Smith, Pelham; son, Rex Allen Magouirk, Palmer; sister, Ima Jean (Bob) Geary, Gruelti-Laager; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Riley Anderson officiating with burial to follow in Palmer Cemetery.
