Fred ONeal

LaFAYETTE Fred Lee ONeal, 70, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Hamilton Medical Center. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was preceded in death by his mother, Lois O'Neal Covington. He is survived by wife, Carolyn J. Beck ONeal; sons, Marvin Clements and Kerry (Lisa) ONeal; twin brother, Frederick (Linda) ONeal; stepchildren, Dorothy Beck, Pelam Beck, and Bernard Beck; special cousin, Eddie ONeal; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Homegoing service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Rheubin M. Taylor, Dr. Jerry D. Jones Sr. officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home after noon today and at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Chattanooga National Cemetery.
