Clyde Henderson

Clyde Mitchell Henderson, 77, passed away Saturday,Aug. 2, 2014, at his home. Clyde was a longtime resident of Rhea County, a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Bledsoe County. He was a retired career law enforcement officer of the Rhea County Sherrifs Department. Preceded in death by his parents, Carles Ray and Evelyn Henderson; two brothers, Carles Ray Henderson Jr., Cleo Thomas Henderson; and sister, Cathy Elaine Henderson. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Clark Henderson, of Evensville; two daughters, Linda (Butch)Woody and Pam (Terry) Ashley, both of Evansville; three sons, Winford (Becky) Henderson, of Evensville, Mitchell (Kelly) Henderson, of Hixson, Christopher (Audrey) Henderson,of Dayton; six brothers, Clay, Carroll, Clifford, Leo, Donald, Calvin Henderson; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. today at Friendship Baptist Church of Bledsoe County, Rev.Von Dunn officiating. Interment in Pierce Cemetery.
