Jesse Coley Sr.

Jesse A. Coley Sr., 84, departed this life Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014. He was born in Jackson County, Ala., to the late Samuel and Vera Coley. He retired from Aztec after 32 years as a machinist there and attended New Haven Fellowship Church of God in Chickamauga. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Leila Jane Coley, and daughter, Vickie Bryson. Survivors include his wife, Ovella Coley of Flintstone; children, Roger Coley of Fort Oglethorpe, Steve Coley of Flintstone, Jesse Christine Harris and Jesse A. Coley Jr. both of Fort Oglethorpe; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, in the chapel with Pastors Jack Sexton and Carroll Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Ft. Payne, Ala. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, Aug. 18, and prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
