Jose "Joe" Mares, 82, stacked arms for the final roll call and died on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014. His change of station is now Heaven where his wife Janice, preceded him on their 57th wedding anniversary. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Doyce Payne officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
