Willie Branan Jr.

Willie Doss Branan Jr., 65, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at his home. He was a United States Veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Doss Branan Sr.; and step-father, Gus Mathis. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Phillips Branan; daughters, Sheena (Josh) Bishop, Angie (Robert Layne) Girdley and Crystal (Aaron) Hughes; brothers, Larry (Diane) Branan and Clifford (Brenda) Branan, all of Dunlap; mother-in-law, Kathleen Phillips; grandchildren, Shawn and Kane Bishop, Chase and Jadeyn Girdley, Caden and Seth Layne and Laney Hughes; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 6 p.m. CDT today, Aug. 27, 2014 at Cookston Cemetery with Matthew Lee officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. No visitation will be held at Ewton Funeral Home.
