Lawrencine Brazelton SCOTTSBORO Debra Lawrencine Brazelton, 58, passed away Wednesday Aug. 27, 2014, at her home following an extended illness with cancer. Lawrencine was first a good wife and mother of two daughters. She was later employed by Mud Creek restaurant and Liberty restaurant of Scottsboro. Lawrencine is survived by her husband, Wayne Brazelton; two daughters, April Brazelton, and Erica Brazelton; two grandsons, Hunter and Dylan Spurlock; mother, Kathleen Collins; sister, Trucellia Collins; two nieces, Nakisha Pyborn and Tamara Shelton; one nephew, John Aaron. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Robert Collins. The family would like to deeply express their appreciation for the comfort measures and dedicated service to New Beacon Hospice of Scottsboro. The Family graciously will accept flowers or donations to the America Cancer Association. Family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Aug. 29, 2014, at the Valley Funeral Home in Scottsboro. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at the Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gary Nix will officiate and burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
