Margaret Cone

Margaret Elaine Penley Cone, 78, of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014. She was a member of East Chattanooga Church of God. She retired as secretary from the Hamilton County Sherriffs Department after 20 plus years of service. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Carson and Thelma Potter; husband, Harold Wayne Penley; two sons, Michael Wayne Penley, Steven Richard Penley. She is survived by her daughter, Cheri Brownfield; brother, Bill Potter; sister, Sharon Ferguson; three grandchildren, Mitchell Carter, Michael Penley and Jennifer Dye; one great-grandson, Nichols Wayne Carter; several nieces, nephews and special friend, Lenda Clark. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today, Aug. 29, at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home or you may visit the online guestbook @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
