Margaret Grisham

Margaret Elizabeth "Liz" Grisham, 84, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was of the Christian faith. She retired from Orange Grove after 20 years. She was preceded in death by her by her parents, George and Vergie Mooney; husband, Luther "Doc" Grisham; and brother, James "Sonny" Mooney. She is survived by her son, Larry Grisham; daughter, Tona Thompson; aunt, Susie DeFriese; special relatives, Ono Lee Boyd and Donna Kirby; granddaughter, Karen Thompson Steed; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Minister James Blackmon officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Highway 58 chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
