Beulah Justice

Beulah Tipp Justice, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. She was 91 years old. Beulah was born in Lacrosse, Kan., was raised in Pocatello, Idaho and was a member of the Army Air Corp during World War II where she served as a nurse in San Antonio, Texas. She has lived in the Chattanooga area for the past 18 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Hixson Ward), Hixson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James "Jim" C. Justice II; her son, James "Jimmy" C. Justice III; and her parents, Arthur and Mary Blue Tipp. Beulah was the last of her eight siblings. Beulah is survived by her two daughters, Jo Anna (Keith) Gilligan and Jacklyn (Tony) Stephenson; grandchildren, Sunny and Salana Gilligan and Kelly (John) Danielson; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Nathan Gilligan and Alyssa, Caleb and Nicholas Danielson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3 and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel. A celebration of her life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel with President Frederick Evans presiding. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
