Peg Brehmer

Peg N. Brehmer, 87, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport. Peg Nagel was born June 27, 1926 in Memphis, the daughter of Charles and Mona Coyle Nagel. She graduated from the University of Chattanooga. On Nov. 22, 1952, she married Walter L. Brehmer. Together they raised four children in Rochester, N.Y. before relocating to the Quad Cities. Peg began working for Mel Foster Real Estate and took great pride in creating the public relations and relocation services in the Quad City area. In 1975 they moved to Memphis, where she spent another 10 years in the real estate business. She is survived by her children, Meridith (Daniel) Entingh, of Roanoke, Va., Thomas (Debra) Brehmer, of San Jose, Calif., Peggy (Christopher) Hull, of Bettendorf, David (Emily) Brehmer, of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Hull, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kelsey Hull, of North Liberty, Iowa, Dave Brehmer, of San Francisco, Calif., Shelby Brehmer, of San Jose, Calif., H. Jacqueline Brehmer, of San Jose, Calif., Sam Brehmer, of Atlanta, Maddy Brehmer, of Atlanta; and a brother, Bob Nagel, of Atlanta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1986. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Memorial Childrens Hospital in Memphis. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.
