Porter Mathis

Porter Leroy Mathis Jr., 64, left this world for his heavenly home, Friday, Feb. 7, 2014. Mr. Mathis was a well known, talented sign painter and was a member of Trion First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Helen Mathis; and a granddaughter, Ashlynn Taylor Veal. Survivors include his wife, Vicki Mathis; daughter, Shayne Mathis; stepdaughter, Desha (Gerald) Hawkins, Ringgold; stepson, Shawn (Emily) Majors, Sevierville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, John, Ava and Ari.
