Samuel Corley

Samuel Caleb Corley, 76, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Rossville and attended Midway Baptist Church. Sam enjoyed spending time with his family camping and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed greatly. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Beulah Mae Benton Corley and brother, James Corley. He is survived by his by his wife, of 31 years, Betty Corley; children, Bo (Deana) Corley, of Soddy-Daisy, Renae Holland, of East Ridge and Craig Corley, of East Ridge; brothers, Sylvester Corley, of Sweetwater and John Henry Corley, of Cookville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jackie Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, South. The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today and prior to the service on Sunday. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
