La-Vonda Johnson La-Vonda (Wilson) Johnson, age 74, of Chattanooga, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. La-Vonda was born Aug. 4, 1939, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Floyd H. Wilson and Dixie Margaret Wilson. La-Vonda was the widow of Harry Gilbert Johnson and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don E. Wilson; and cherished husband of 36 years, Gilbert Johnson. Surviving are her daughter, Christina No-Elle (Steve) Huskey; grandchildren, Cade and Skyler Huskey; brother, Floyd H. (Dorothy) Wilson, Jr.; sister, Lydia "Billie" (William) Colberg; nephews, Joshua and Ben Wilson; nieces, Camy Colberg (Christopher) Harper and Heather Colberg; and several great-nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Frawley Road Baptist Church (510 Frawley Road, East Ridge, TN 37412) Funeral Services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Ken Wolfe officiating. Graveside Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18th at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
