Ed Hardy

Ed Hardy, 87, formerly of Jasper, Tenn., passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. Mr. Hardy had been an engineer for 25 years for the state of Tennessee Corrections and Mental Health Departments. The son of the late Charles F. and Winnie Rogers Hardy he was born in Jasper on Aug. 12, 1926. His wife, Ruby Douglas Hardy; grandson, Stephen Langston; and brother, Clyde Hardy also preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Johnny) Langston, of Nashville. Visitation will be held at the Family Heritage Funeral Home in Gallatin, Tenn., from 4 until 8 p.m. today, Feb. 19, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of Tate Funeral Home, in Jasper at 1 p.m. CST Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, with the family receiving friends two hours before the service.
