Jody Hodnett

Jody Michael Hodnett, 53, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was a member of St. Elmo Avenue Baptist Church. He was always taking care of others needs before his own and never met a stranger. He was a loving son and brother who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his best friend and brother, Kelly Thomas Hodnett. Survivors include his father, Mickey & (Sharon) Hodnett of Louisville, Ky.; mother, Jerry Davis of Flintstone; two sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy and (Raymond) Kay of Rock Spring, Ga., and Sarah Hodnett of Louisville, Ky.; two nephews, Jeff (Leslie) Kay and children and Jim and (Terri) Kay and children; aunts, uncles and numerous extended family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. today in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother Jerry Peele and Brother Donald Givens officiating. Burial will be private.
