James Verdier

James R. Verdier, 47, of East Ridge, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at his residence. He was a native of Flint, Mich., and was a 1984 graduate of Addison High School in Addison, Mich. He had lived in the Chattanooga area since 1992, was employed at Flowers Bakery, and was of the Christian faith. His passions in life were fishing, playing his guitar, and watching the Detroit Red Wing Hockey team. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Verdier. Survivors include his wife, Diane Verdier; step-daughters, Troi Garcia and Stori Garcia; mother and step-father, Marlien and Gerald Slater; sister, Brigitte Schutz. Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
