Ruth Hubbs

Ruth Hubbs ROSSVILLE Ruth Bolt Hubbs, 91, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and a 1941 graduate of Rossville High School. Mrs. Hubbs was a member of Newnan Springs United Methodist Church for 53 years and a part of the Jolly Elders. She was also a member and secretary of the Cardinal Garden Club of Chattanooga. Mrs. Hubbs was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Arizona Fowler Bolt; and 11 siblings; her husband of 57 years, Ogle Hubbs; and special friend, J. V. Tawzer. Survivors include sons, Nathan (Beverly) and Allen (Judy), of Rossville, Randy (Diane), Fort Oglethrope; daughter, Karen (Walt) Melton, Chattanooga; brother, Frank (Betty) Bolt, Sun City, Ariz.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild due in March. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 22, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Royce Powell and Rev. Garry Pryor officiating. Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
