Chuck Weaver

Charles Thomas Weaver, 93, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014. He was born in Bethlehem, Pa., on Oct. 14, 1920. He graduated from Germantown High School in 1939 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps for four years. Chuck graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in accounting and worked for Kemper Insurance Co. as field auditor for 33 years and at Precept Ministries for 7 years after retirement. He was married for 63 years to his loving wife Inge. He was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church since 1984 where he served as an elder, was on the Missions Council, and was an AWANA leader. Chuck was a loving, giving friend to many. After the Lord, his family was his first priority. He was a great man of prayer and a fervent student of the Word of God. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie May Ritter; father, George Person Weaver; sister, Constance Louise Gray; and one grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Ingeborg F. Weaver; daughters, Anne (Jess) Kerley, Liddy (Randy) Dover; sons, John (Sandra) Weaver Sr., Paul (Cindy) Weaver; grandchildren, 18 living and 1 grandchild in heaven; 10 great-grandchildren; and three nieces. The Memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at Woodland Park Baptist Church (6735 Standifer Gap Road) with Rev. Bruce Daugherty officiating.
