Loretta Knight

Ninevah Loretta Knight, 84, passed away, Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014. She was born Aug. 8, 1929, in Paintsville, Ky.,, the daughter of the late Homer and Georgia L. Williams McKenzie. She was of the United Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Lucious "Luddie" Knight; sister, Stella Margaret Baker; nephew, Randolph "Randy" Baker; stepson, Allen Knight; and several aunt and uncles. Loretta was a teacher in Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida before retiring in 1984 with 33 years of service, the last 20 years of this at Cloud Springs Elementary, Catoosa, County, Georgia. She is survived by her brother, Lemuel E. (Glenda) McKenzie, Goodlettsville, Tenn.; sister, Sarah Elizabeth (Lloyd) Carter, Graham N.C.; stepdaughter, Lola Fay (Louis) Graham, Hixson, TN; step-son, Charles (Debbie) knight, Etowah, Tenn.; aunts, Tera E. Williams, Flatgap, Ky.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives of Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio. Loretta wished a say a special thanks to her step-daughter, Fay Graham; her daughters, Sherry Millard, Paula Cash; her cousin, Pamela Parker, Brenda William, Sharon McCartey, of Flatgap, Ky., and Carol Conley and Dr. Sarah Teague, of Ohio. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery, Williams Creek Road, Flatgap, Ky. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
