Forais Walker

Forais Warren "Ron" Walker, 73, died at his home Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014. Mr. Walker retired from American Bakery Company in Detroit, MI after 38 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Avis Boyd Walker; parents, Sam and Ophelia Greene Walker; 2 brothers, James Walker and Horace "Big Boy" Walker; and sister, Mary Green. Survivors include his son, James "Eddie" (Julie) Walker, Dunlap; 3 sisters, Alyene Williams, Eloise King, both of Palmer, and Opal (Gene) Martin, of Virginia; 4 grandchildren, Bryan (Candace) Walker, Laura Hickman, Daniel Walker, and Eric Walker; 2 great-grandchildren, Jillian and Olivia Hickman; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. CST Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Marvin McClendon officiating. Burial will follow in Rankin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network or Hospice of Chattanooga.
