Samson Awotula Sr.

Rev. Dr. Samson Oluremi Awotula Sr. passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christiana Titilayo Awotula. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Grace Oluremi Awotula; children, Emmanuel (Jennifer) Awotula, Rosemary (Adetayo) Kehinde, Samson Oluremi Awotula Jr., Dorcas Awotula; grandsons, Noah, Isaiah and Micah Awotula, Several brothers, sisters, aunts-uncles, nieces and nephews. Homegoing services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Olivet Baptist Church, with Burial to follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. today, Jan. 31, in the Advantage Chapel followed by visitation with the family from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Hebrews 11:6 says But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes or Paralyzed Veterans Organization.
