Julia McClary

Julia McClary, of Chattanooga, died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Julie was born in 1950 and spent all her life in Chattanooga. She graduated from UTC with a degree in mathematics. Julie was a published poet and an accomplished quilter. Gardening was a great love and she was a fantastic cook. A caring and generous friend to many, a good neighbor, Julie was much beloved by her family. Predeceased by her parents, Nell and Ronald McClary. Julie is survived by sisters and their spouses, Linda and Willard Rice of Ooltewah, Tenn.; and Marilyn (Creamer) and Sven Emilsson of Newton, Mass.; nephews and niece: John (Jin) Creamer of Phoenix, Ariz.; Robert (Nicky) Creamer of Chicago Ill.; Melinda (Craig) Van Boskirk of St. Johns, Fla.; Willard (Keri) Rice of Ooltewah; great-nephew and nieces, Caroline and Marin Creamer, Sylvia and Henry Van Boskirk and Margaret Rice. Arrangements under the direction of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tenn.
