Faye Daverson

Faye Ogle Daverson, 97, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Paducah, Ky. She was born Nov. 10, 1916, in Sevier County, Tenn., to the late Newt and Minnie Bradshaw Ogle. Faye lived most of her life in Chattanooga, graduating from Central High School and McKenzie College. She retired from the business office at Tennessee Temple University. She was a longtime member of Highland Park Baptist Church, where she belonged to Grace Bible Class and Britton Circle. She was also predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Claude F. Daverson; her son, Richard Alan and his daughter, Trina; and two brothers, Claude W. and Don R. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Ross, of Paducah; sister, Marjorie Ogle, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Ivins, of Knoxville, Krista Ross of Anchorage, Alaska, and Rick Daverson of Bay Springs, Miss.; four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens chapel from 10:30-11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Ray Thompson will conduct the service at 11 in the chapel.
