Peggy Henson

Peggy Joyce Smith Henson, 78, departed this life Monday, July 28, 2014. She was born in Ringgold to the late Emmitt and Mary Smith. She retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of service, and was of the Baptist Faith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Henson; brother, Kenneth Smith; and sister, Shirley Fetzer. Survivors include her children, Mike Henson of Ringgold, Penny Elder of Cohutta, and Tim (Carol) Henson of Ringgold; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, in the Wallis-Stewart Chapel with Rev. Nick Forshee and Rev. Greg Free officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wallis-Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes, Ringgold, Ga.
