Jackie Jones

Jackie Paul Jones Sr., died suddenly on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 1:59 p.m. in Chattanooga. He was born April 8, 1950, in Dalton, Ga., and married Dolores Harbuck in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on Aug. 29, 1978. After 20 years of service with IBM, Jack and Dolores retired to Ringgold. They were honored with the "Georgia Family Centennial Farm Award," where they grew organic golden seal. Jackie Paul was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for 20 years and enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs, listening to music (especially the Rolling Stones), NASCAR, his dog and best friend Rin, his family and living life to its fullest. He always had the sweetest smile, warmest hugs and true generosity for everyone! Jack is lovingly survived by his wife, Dolores Jones from Ringgold; daughter, Bianca and son-n-law Chad Bonadona; son, Jackie Paul Jones Jr. and daughter-in law Ashlee; granddaughter Karlyn Jones; all of Woodstock, Ga.; sister, Brenda (Glenn) Cooper and sister Thera (Jerry) Phillips and brother Gordon (Christine) Jones; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that were loved dearly by Jack and Dolores. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alma Jones, and his sweet sister, Helen Jones Walls. A celebration of his life is planned for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tenn.
