William Wright Jr.

William T. "Doc" Wright, Jr., 66, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014. He was born Oct. 18, 1947, in Chattanooga, to the late Louise Jackson Williams and Mr. William T. Wright, Sr. Mr. Wright was a graduate of Riverside High School, Class of 1965. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was employed by Gilman Paint and U.S. Pipe Foundry for more than 20 years combined. He was the owner of WTW Janitoral Service (Chattanooga Allergy Clinic, Chattanooga Skin & Cancer Clinic, Dr. Keith Dessler, Dr. David Monen, Dr. Kenneth C. Parker) for over 25 years. William was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Jackson Williams and William T. Wright Sr., and Beulah Vassar, aunt. Cherishinig his memory are his wife, JoeAnn Wright; two sons, William T. (Erica)Wright III and Garion T. Wright; seven grandchildren, Ayanna Gbedi Wright, William T. Wright IV, Gyasi Wright, Cyrus Wright, Kieran Wright, Ayana Gustus and Jordan Gustus; four sisters, Sylvia A. Wright, Crystal F. Wright, Mara E. Wright and Karen E. Williams; one brother, Marty D. Wright; one aunt, Mattie L. King; and two uncles, Irvin L. Jackson and Usher T. Jackson; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, Aug. 1, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1156 E. Main St., with Rev. James E. Calhoun officiating and Pastor James W. McClarty, Eulogist. Interment: Highland Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
