James Suttles

James C. Suttles, 85, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at his home in Dayton. James was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a longtime employee of Keyser-Roth, James was a member of the Baptist faith. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he loved fishing. He is survived by his wife, Imogene Thomas Suttles, of Dayton; two daughters, Linda Lewis and Dianne (Freddy)Cochran; a son, Jim (Teresa) Suttles; all of Dayton; eight grandchildren, Mandy Pennell, Adam and Jarad Cochran, Matthew Suttles, Alyssa (Brinn)Schultz, MadisonSuttles, Ben Suttles and Kaleigh Suttles; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Pennell, Kate Pennell and Sophie Schultz; and several nieces and nephews. Services with be noon Monday at the Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home chapel, Rev. Bill Ewing presiding. Interment will be in Smith Wilkey Cemetary. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Monday.
