Ruby Teague

Ruby Alice Coe Stafford Hill Teague, 86, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola Coe; spouses, James R. Stafford and Clarence Hill; brothers, W.M. Coe, Parnick Coe, Paul Coe and Ernest Denton Coe; sister, Oletha Chance. She was a member of Nellie Head Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Teague was an extraordinary seamstress and had worked at a number of textiles, furniture, clothing and drapery businesses. She fully retired at the age of 84 from Charlene's Drapery Shop. She thrived on helping others with their sewing needs and projects. Mrs. Teague is survived by her husband, Ulyss Teague of Dalton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Arnetta and John Faulkenberry of Cohutta; and Cosetta Stafford of Waleska, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Anna Stafford of Waleska; stepson and wife, Ricky and Vickie Teague, of Apison, Tenn.; stepdaughters, Betty Exline of Titusville, Fla., Opal Coe of Cohutta and Odean Chance of Dalton; grandchildren, Bryna and Jason Samples, Noah and Nicole Huckaby, Brittney Samples, Ginger and Tim Shumate, Josh Stafford; great-granddaughters, Makinley Samples and Karsyn Samples; nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Teague will be held Sunday, June 8, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Nellie Head Memorial Baptist Church, with Rev. Dwight J. Stafford, Rev. LaBron Chance, Rev. Eddie Killian and Rev. Herschell Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to support missionary Brent Rochester, in care of Nellie Head Memorial Baptist Church, 2379 Catoosa Parkway, Tunnel Hill, GA 30755, or to the Gideons North Camp, P.O. 3922, Dalton, GA 30719.
