Bobbe Jensen Barbara "Bobbe" Schutte Jensen, 86, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, in Collegedale. Bobbe will be best remembered for her unwavering love of God, loyalty to her husband, unselfishness and love for her children, tireless commitment to her grandchildren and her unwavering loyalty to her brothers, sisters, and friends. Bobbe was born on Nov. 3, 1927, in Richmond, Va. While attending college in Takoma Park, Md., she met and married her husband, Robert L. Jensen. Robert later added a Medical Doctorate to his name through the hard work, support and dedication of Bobbe, who stood proudly, as so many other wives have, as he reached his dream and graduated in 1964 from Loma Linda University in California. Together they reached this goal that directed their lives through many adventures. Later, Bobbe graduated with a Business Degree from Cleveland State Community College and used that tool to assist her husband in running his offices and home. Bobbe always stayed very involved in the lives of her three children, eight grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. She had a true passion to support them and help them reach their personal goals and influence their love of Jesus. Her greatest desire was to see her whole family in heaven. Bobbe was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a current member of the Collegedale SDA church family. Bobbe is survived by her son, Garye Dale Jensen, of Cape Cod, Mass.; and daughters, Claudia Jensen Guthrie, of Orlando, Fla. and Debbe Darlynne Jensen, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Garye Shawn Jensen, Christopher Michael Jensen, Damian Robin Jensen, of San Antonio, Texas, David Robert Jensen, of Cape Cod, Mass., Ann Elizabeth Jensen-Villano, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Christian Montana Guthrie, Shane Allen Guthrie, of Orlando, Fla., and Robert Charlsey Erica Adkins, of Los Angeles, Calif. Bobbe also has four great-grandchildren, Angela, Gabrielle, Daniel and Aaron Jensen. Mrs. Jensen also survived by her sister, Gloria Bareford; brothers, Harold Schutte MD, of Ashville, N.C. and Leslie Schutte, of Orlando, Fla. Mrs. Jensen also will be missed by her three sister-in-laws Mildred Schutte and Margie Schutte, of Ashville, N.C., and Lottie Schutte, of Orlando, Fla. Bobbe Jensen will be deeply missed. The kindness, encouragement and love she demonstrated for all throughout her life will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today, June 6, 2014, in the Valley View chapel with Pastor Sherry Smith officiating.
