Lisa Cornett

Lisa Jane Sitton Cornett, 53, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Born in Chattanooga, on St. Patricks Day, March 17, 1961. Grew up on Signal Mountain and graduated from Red Bank High School, Class of 1979. Attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Worked in retail management for Lovemans, Millers and Belk Department Store. She was a member of Signal Mountain Baptist Church. Lisa loved to cook and work in her flower garden. She was the much adored Aunt Lisa to her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Lamar Sitton, of Signal Mountain; niece, Natalie Nicole Sitton, of Signal Mountain; grandparents, Horace William Puckett and Pat McMurray Puckett, of Signal Mountain; Louise Farmer, of Nashville; Thomas Franklin Sitton, of Signal Mountain; aunt, Mildred Sitton Delk, of Nashville. Survivors: husband, Gerry Cornett, of Signal Mountain; mother, Beverly Ann Sitton, of Signal Mountain; sister, Susan (William) Christopher, of Vienna, Va.; brothers, Greg (Amy) Sitton and Brian (Jill) Sitton, all of Signal Mountain; stepson, Gerry (Janna) Cornett; stepdaughters, Emily, Michelle and Haley Cornett; stepgranddaughter, Catie Grace Cornett; nieces, Kelsey and Laura Paige Sitton, Mary Hadley and Emma Christopher; nephews, Will Christopher, RJ Sitton, Whit and Cole Sitton; aunts - Jane Anderson of Nashville and Betty Sitton of Signal Mountain; uncles, Jerry (Sybil) Sitton, of Chickamauga, Ga., and Doug (Diane) Sitton, of Chatsworth, Ga.; cousins, Carolyn Breeding, Nashville; Karen Hale, Chicago; Shannon Sitton, Chattanooga; Scott Sitton, Atlanta; Robert Anderson, Houston; and Jason Anderson, Silver Spring, Md. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today, June 6, 2014, at Hamilton Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Signal Mountain Baptist Church, officiating Rev. Sally Ensley, located at 939 Ridgeway, Signal Mountain TN 37377. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Lisa to hospiceofchattanooga.org or to Signal Mountain Baptist Church.
