Thomas H. Williams

Thomas H. Williams, 69, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was born in Rock Spring, Ga., to the late Melvin Henry and Pauline Nichols Williams. He had worked for E.T. Barwick Mills and Synthetic Industries for many years. He was a longtime member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Chickamauga. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Williams; and son-in-law, Rodney Trammel. He is survived by his wife of 47-and-a-half years, Barbara Ann Payne Williams of Chickamauga; their children, Danette (William) Quarles of Chickamauga, Mark Williams of Chickamauga, Sonya (Wayne) Kirkpatrick of Ringgold, Ga.; his siblings, James Williams of Coral Springs, Fla., Wayne Williams of Dalton, Ga., Faye Wilson of Chickamauga, Betty Hager of Temple Terrace, Fla., eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Wednesday morning prior to the service. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Price officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Spring Cemetery.
