Jathan Robinson Jr.

Jathan "Big Jake" Robinson Jr., 66, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at a local hospital. He was born on September 22, 1947, to Jathan and Hattie Mae Roberson Sr., in Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jathan Roberson Sr.; and brother, Robert Lee Roberson. He is survived by his brother, Elbert (Maxine) Robinson; sister, Dorothy L. Maddox; devoted and loving niece and nephew, Tyra M. Roberson and Charles Maddox Jr.; loving and devoted great-nephew, Rodney A. Roberson; very devoted and loving fianc, Patricia A. Boyd; and dear friends, Lawrence Stanley and Leo Foster; all of Chattanooga; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. James Arthur Smith officiating. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
