Leon Cavitt

Leon Cavitt, 86, of Chattanooga, died Saturday, June 14, 2014. He was born July 1, 1927, to the late Andrew J. and Ola Mae Cavitt. Mr. Cavitt was a graduate of Kirkman High School. He worked for Western Union and was retired from TVA as an electrician. He was a member of the IBEW. He was a former member of East Chattanooga Church of God and a former member of East Ridge Church of God and was presently a member of Ooltewah Church of God. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Wanda Cavitt of Chattanooga; sons, Les (Darla) Cavitt of Chattanooga and Dan Cavitt of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Lt. Zachary (Lauren) of San Diego, Calif., Alexandra of Chattanooga and Matthew of Atlanta. The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home Tuesday, June 17, from 4-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 18, at 2 p.m. from the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
