Talitha Wallace

Talitha Bowman Wallace, 78, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014. Talitha was retired as a bookkeeper for the Catoosa County Road Commissioner. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, fishing, canning and watching game shows. She loved following the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs; she also enjoyed watching birds in her yard. Talitha was of the Baptist faith and attended Burning Bush Baptist Church. She loved her family deeply. Talitha was preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Eunice Byrd Bowman; and sisters, Alma Vaughn and Margaret Chalmers. Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Jerry Wallace; sons, Dennis (Brenda) Wallace and Greg (Sherry) Wallace; daughter, Debbie (Rodney) Kay; brothers, Pete Bowman, Jake Bowman; sisters, Edna Mahaffey, Betty Lomax and Beatrice Presley, grandchildren, Jeremy, Kristy, Heath, and Mariah; great-grandchildren, Asher and Austin; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Burning Bush Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Wells. Rev. Denny Patrick and Collin Crossen officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
