Clay Payne

Clayton "Clay" Thomas Payne, 57, passed away, Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Clay was a graduate of Central High School Chattanooga. He was raised in Lookout Valley and enjoyed playing sports in his youth. He was an avid Tennessee Vol's fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn E. Payne and grandparents, Riley and Elsie Payne and James and Ethel Rector. He is survived by his mother, Mary Louise Rector Payne; son, Chris Payne; brothers, Gary and Terry Payne; sisters, Gail Hibbs and Teresa Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted from Cumberland View Cemetery at 1 p.m. CST, Saturday, March 8, 2014 The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. CST, today, March 7, 2014 and from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
