Vivian McClendon

Vivian Lee Calloway McClendon, 64, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at her home. A lifetime resident of Spring City, Vivian was the daughter of the late Leon McGee and Lucy A. Pickle Calloway. She was a graduate of Spring City High School and Tusculum College in Greenville, Tenn. Vivian retired in 2004 from the TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Reed Chapel United Methodist Church in Spring City and also a member of the TVA Retirees Association. Vivian is survived by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" McClendon, of Spring City; children, Phaedra Brewster, of Sweetwater, Tenn., Terry (Erica) McClendon and Travis (Misty) McClendon, both of Spring City; sister, Patricia Horton, of Spring City; brothers-in-law, James (Noreen) McClendon and Theodore McClendon; and grandchildren, Darius Ridley, Jazmine, Tyra, Quincey and Bryson McClendon. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Spring City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating. Interment will follow at the Petersburg Cemetery in Spring City. The family will receive friends at the Family Life Center at the Spring City United Methodist Church after the interment.
