Pearl Minnis

Pearl Alberta Stephens Minnis, 88, of Harrison, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 15, 2014. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, L.V. Stephens, Sr.; mother, Sylvia Kerr; one brother, Millard Stephens; three sisters, Peggy Githens, Bernadine Agnew and Frankie Morgan. She is survived by her husband, James R. Minnis; one son and daughter-in-law, Ron (Kathy) Minnis; one daughter and son-in-law, Tylene (Coleman) White; brothers, L.V. (Mildred) Stephens Jr., Leo Stephens; sisters, Betty Dawson, Mary Joe McCarver, Elizabeth Tipton, Hazel Arvilel and Sandy Davis; four grandchildren, Bryan (Angie) White, Betsy (Terry) Swope, Sheri (Randy) Downs and Becky Minnis; six great-grandchildren, Emily Downs, Cam Swope, Hal Swope, Matt Downs, Madison White and Hunter White; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home or you may visit the online guestbook @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Harmony Baptist Church with Pastor Joey Harris and Pastor Randy Bell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from noon until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
