Harold Jackson Sr. Harold Jackson Sr., 74, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014. He was born on Oct. 17, 1935 in Chattanooga to John Henry Jackson and Mary Eller Butler Gordon. Harold Jackson, Sr., was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jessie Jackson; and daughter Harolyn Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Cynthia King, Miranda Jackson and Donetta Jackson, all of Chattanooga; two sons, John (Sherrie) Owens, Harold Jackson Jr., all of Chattanooga; sisters, Marth Ann Ross, Linda Gordon, of Chattanooga; and Suzanne (Desmond) Celestine, of St. Croix; four brothers, Samuel (Jeanette) Jackson, James Lee (Katrina) Gordon, of Chattanooga, and Edward Jackson and Robert (Thelma) Jackson, of Nashville; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in the chapel with Pastor Ronald L. King Sr. officiating. Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will received friends from 67 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
